Setting up printer driver  
  1. All applications should be closed on your PC before beginning installation.
  2. Connect your printer to the computer.
  3. Insert the supplied CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive.
    The CD-ROM should automatically run and an installation window appears.
    If the installation window does not appear, click [Start] and then [Run]. Type X:\Setup.exe, replacing “X” with the letter which represents your drive and click [OK].
  4. Choose the type of installation.
    Typical: Installs the most common software for your printer. This is recommended for most users.
    • Custom: Allows you to choose both the language of the software and the individual components you want to install. After selecting the language and the component(s), click [Next].
  5. After the installation is finished, a window asking you to print a test page appears. If you choose to print a test page, select the checkbox and click [Next]. Otherwise, just click [Next] and skip to next step.
  6. If the test page prints out correctly, click [Yes]. If not, click [No] to reprint it.
  7. A checkbox appears to ask you to register. Choose either from [Yes] or [No] and the whole process finishes.

Printing a document  
  • Make sure you have paper loaded in the input tray and select the type of the paper loaded in the printer from the printer setting list
  • On the File menu in your software application, click Print.
  • Make sure the correct printer model is the selected printer.

Changing the print preference  
  • Click Print on the File menu in your software application.
  • Click the button that opens the Properties dialog box. Depending on your software application, this button might be called Properties, Options, Printer Setup, Printer or Preferences.
  • Select the appropriate options for your print job by using the features available in the Advanced, Paper/Quality, Effects, Finishing, and Color tabs.
  • Click OK to close the Properties dialog box.
  • Click Print or OK to begin printing.
